Childcare Journal for Parents and
Providers
Track your child's well-being while at
childcare
Jodi L.Marvin
This journal was designed and
written by a stay-at-home mother to ease sharing information between
parents and their childcare providers. The author is herself a child
minder and therefore knows just what she is doing, on both sides of the
fence. She has produced a delightful way of documenting babies’
activities.
It is an excellent aid to the
communication between parent and child carer because babies’ likes and
dislikes, nap time, and any milestones can be recorded in the journal. It
can be seen at a glance what the child had to eat, and how long the nap
lasted. If you have varying schedules for dropping off or collecting your
child details like this can be indicated as well.
The journal is pretty,
efficient and will simplify the transition - for the parent at any rate -
between home and the person who is caring for the baby. It will certainly
make pick-up time easier which can be a blessing at the end of a long day.
There is also a very attractive handmade journal tote bag and slip cover,
which would make a great gift for the mother or father returning to work.
Don’t throw it away at the
end of the year because it will be a wonderful record for the future of a
year in the life of your child.
